LAURA LETINSKY
AFTERMATH
In my response to Laura letinsky's photo idea "aftermath" we had to make/stage an unfinished meal and make it look like someone had given up on their food in my choice of objects were a bitten banana orange fruit squash and tea I also created a black background to not disturb the main objects of the photo then i finished it off with black and white edits with photo shop
Andre Kertesz
my initial response to Andre kertez the forks and the shadows were the main focus of the photo we dimed the lights to get a darkness effect and with a small spotlight we placed the forks balancing on each other and aimed the light onto them and took photos of it changing the angle of the light and the camera to let the shadows give off a bending affect
Edward Weston
what I did in response to Edward westerns photos of the fruit, I captured the fruits and vegetables up close and far away we played out a. black fabric to not le the background get in the way of the fruit and then we edited them using photo shop
LAUREN MEREK
FURTHER DEVELOPMENT
in my response to Laura mereks photos of the different detail of the human body we replicated and heavily edited them with photo shop, the task was easy to capture individual parts of the body and single them out from the rest of them to let them stand out
THOMAS KELLNER
I chose Thomas Kellner because the particular style he takes photos that are in comparison to the photo joiners, he takes photos of famous landmarks all around the world but he takes them in segments and when he has taken a lot of photo segments he joins them together making them look like a broken structre. His work is often referred to as Cubism (an early 20th century movement art) therefore his photos do not deconstruct architecture.
My response
in my response to Thomas kellners photo joiners, we first had to take a lot of photos of a building section by section getting each individual detail in the small photo (the image was shrunken down to controlled pieces)we then used photo shop to drag the photos into a box to create the photo joiner but it was not like the original shaped into patterns
JESSE DRAXLER
Jesse Draxler focuses on the individual details of the human body then divides them and turns them into collages, for example the persons silhouette will be empty but filled with the persons indivdual body parts. Jesse Draxlers art/photos are very similar to Lauren Merek but what is different is that Draxler uses organic and natural patterns but on the other hand Merek uses grids
STEVE PURNELL
Steve Purnell uses striped patterned backgrounds and through a glass of clear water it lets the background become distorted by the water. Purnell gets his inspiration form 'Op art' (short for optical art, is a style of visual art that uses optical illusions). His art is linked to Andre Kertesz but kertesz uses shadows to distort his photos and not water
My response
in my response to Steve purnells 'glass' photos I decided to use Christmas wrapping as the bending background effect I deliberately placed the glass on either the left hand side or the right hand but making sure to not put it in the middle
In my response to Steve Purnells art work I used a set of backrounds to create the same effect he did in the end I came up with these masterpieces. coming up with the background pattern was the easy part but finding the right angle for the photo shoot was the hardest, our photo shoot stage was really low so crouching down and getting to the same height of the glasses was a real challenge
